How a free measure and quote works

Every job starts the same way, and it costs you nothing to find out what your windows need.

You tell us roughly what you are after. A room, a window, a whole house. If you are not sure whether you want blinds, shutters or curtains, that is fine, most people are not sure at that point.
We come to you with samples. One of our team measures every opening properly and puts the actual fabrics and slats up against your walls, floor and furniture, in the light of the room they are going in.
You get a written quote before we leave. No obligation, nothing to sign on the spot, and no follow up pressure. If you want to think about it for a month, think about it for a month.
We make and fit them. Roller blinds are made in our own Sydney workroom. Shutters, curtains and awnings come from suppliers we have used for years, and the same installers who measured come back to fit.

What helps us give you a straight answer

You do not need to prepare anything, but these four things speed the visit up:

Which rooms matter most, and what each one is for. A bedroom that faces east is a different problem to a west facing lounge.
Whether you want the blind inside the window reveal or fixed to the wall over it, if you already have a preference.
Any strata or heritage rules that limit what can go on the outside of the building.
A rough timeframe. If you are working to a painter or a builder, tell us, because we measure after the trim is on.

Where we come to

We are based in the Sutherland Shire and cover Sutherland Shire, St George, Eastern Suburbs and the suburbs around them. The service areas page lists the lot. If you are outside those areas it is still worth asking, because we travel further than most people expect.

Questions we get asked before booking

Do you charge for the measure and quote?

No. The visit, the measure and the written quote are free, and there is no obligation at the end of it.

How long from measure to install?

It depends on the product. Roller blinds are the quickest because we make them ourselves. Shutters take longer because they are made to order. We will give you a realistic timeframe with the quote rather than an optimistic one.

Can you match blinds you made for us years ago?

Usually yes, for roller blinds, because we hold our own components and cut our own fabric. Bring us the room and we will tell you honestly whether the match will be close enough to sit next to the old ones.

Do I have to be home for the measure?

Someone does, yes. Measuring off a plan is how blinds end up 15mm too narrow, so we do it on site every time.

Can we see the fabrics before we commit?

That is the whole point of the home visit. Samples in a showroom look different to samples in your lounge room at four in the afternoon.
